Straight answers
The four questions everyone asks.
Is a UROLUM wick the same product as a BD PureWick® wick?
No. It is a competing consumable designed to connect to the same collection system. Materials, dimensions, and construction are our own. We do not claim equivalence, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Becton, Dickinson and Company.
Will using a third-party wick affect the warranty on the collection unit?
We cannot answer that for a machine we do not make. Some manufacturers restrict warranty cover to their own consumables. Check the terms you were given with the unit before you switch, and if the answer matters commercially, buy a single box and test it first.
How do you get to a fifth of the brand price?
The consumable is the only thing we make. There is no pump to design, no service network, no reimbursement billing operation, and no distributor margin stacked on top. We ship factory direct, prepaid, by the box.
Are UROLUM products medical devices?
No. They are non-medical daily care accessories, not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Buyers who need a regulated device for a clinical use should source one.
